THE CREAM OF CLAPTON BAND, the most famous CLAPTON Tribute band will play two concerts in the Czech Republic for the first time in March 2025! In PRAGUE and OSTRAVA! Ticket sales open!
THE CREAM OF CLAPTON BAND has firmly established itself in the world as the 'New Gen,' celebrating the musical legacy of the legendary musician! In addition, it is completely unique in that it brings together his family, friends, bandmates and musicians to perform together on one stage!
During two nights in March 2025, March 4th and 5th to be exact, THE CREAM OF CLAPTON BAND will present "24 Nights Revisited" in PRAGUE, in Hybernia, and the day after in OSTRAVA, in the Gong Hall. They will pay tribute to the record-breaking concerts in 1991 at the Royal Albert Hall. Founding members Will Johns (Clapton's nephew) and Noah East (son of Nathan East and Eric Clapton's bass player) will be joined by very special guests - bass virtuoso Nathan East and one of the most talked about drummers from Germany today, Anika Nilles.
It probably goes without saying that when the opportunity arises, the band's long-time supporter, Nathan East, thoroughly enjoys playing not only with his 23-year-old son, but also with an ever-changing list of top musicians, who are always honored and thrilled to be invited as guests to perform with this band.
One of the most recorded bassists of all time, East was 16 years old when he found himself on tour with Barry White. The next time the phone rang, Quincy Jones was on the line. The calls kept coming, and over the past four decades East has recorded and performed with such legendary artists as Phil Collins, George Harrison, Michael Jackson, Toto, Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Barbra Streisand and Stevie Wonder. He is a founding member of the contemporary jazz group Fourplay and has been one of Eric Clapton's favorite bass players since 1984.
German drumming phenomenon, Anika Nilles has quickly become one of the most talked about musicians in the industry since entering the music scene 10 years ago. She had the honor and privilege of being asked by the late great Jeff Beck to join his band in 2022. Anika has won several awards, is a great teacher and a YouTube phenomenon boasting over 23 million views. She composes music for her own band, Nevell, which combines urban jazz, modern funk and progressive rock to showcase the musicality and virtuosity of all involved.
THE CREAM OF CLAPTON BAND is a one-of-a-kind project that continues to build their reputation for the truly original sound, musical arrangements and electrifying, live concert experience they deliver.
Due to the successful re-release of the Royal Albert Hall concerts in 2023, entitled 'The Definitive 24-Nights' and heavily influenced by the original quartet of Eric Clapton, Nathan East, Greg Phillinganes and either Steve Ferrone or Phil Collins on drums, this new generation of musicians believe that right now is the perfect time to celebrate this historic and much-loved period in the extraordinary career of this extraordinary artist.
"Of course we play classics like Cocaine, Sunshine of Your Love, Badge and Layla," says Will Johns. “But there are many great songs that haven't been heard in a while from the gold and platinum selling albums Behind the Sun, August and Journeyman, such as Bad Love, Tearing Us Apart, Holy Mother and Run, all of which led to Eric's record 24-day stay at the Royal Albert Hall.'
Johns is the nephew of British icon Pattie ("Layla") Boyd and met his "Uncle Eric" as a boy, which included introducing him to his two lifelong loves: fishing and the guitar. His father is the late great Andy Johns, legendary music producer for bands like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Van Halen.
23-year-old Noah East has been playing the piano since he was four, listening to his father play with Clapton. “We aim to fulfill this incredible work and, blessed as we are, with the support of not only Eric and my father, but many of Eric's band members past and present, we are confident in our interpretation of these songs our own way which is so exciting. So many great musicians would love to play these legendary songs, so we decided to invite 'special guests' as often as possible. So for our very first show in the Czech Republic, my father is coming and we have the extraordinary Anika Nilles playing drums. It's going to be amazing!"
It will be amazing! On March 4th and 5th, 2025, you will experience a completely original, unusual and maximally intense, unique musical experience in PRAGUE and OSTRAVA! Don't miss it!
