Swedish metal warriors SABATON have announced the re-release of their blockbuster album “The Last Stand”! It will be released on September 11th, 2026 as a limited edition to mark the 10th anniversary of the release of this iconic album. Pre-order >>HERE<<
The album “The Last Stand”, first released in 2016, conquered the world, breaking into the global top 10 and reaching number one in several countries. This spectacular concept album brought SABATON’s signature explosive heavy metal to life, bringing to the world some of their most popular and most played live songs and fan favourites.
Pär Sundström said: “Who would have thought that 10 years could fly by so quickly? We have so many great memories with ‘The Last Stand’, so we are really happy to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a special edition vinyl and digibook with lots of extras.”
“If you get your hands on the digibook, you will find bonus footage of Thobbe – our guitarist – playing his last show with us at Sabaton Open Air in 2016 before he took an eight-year break. In a way, it became his own ‘Last Stand’! Of course, none of us knew at the time that he would eventually return to the band in 2024, which makes it all the more meaningful to look back on those moments. It's a touching chapter in our history and the perfect thing to share when celebrating the album's 10th birthday."
