Eight years after the release of their highly acclaimed album “Eonian”, Norwegian symphonic black metal titans DIMMU BORGIR return with a formidable new work, “Grand Serpent Rising”. The album will be released on May 22nd and features thirteen challenging yet remarkably diverse tracks that confirm the band’s status as one of the most impressive forces in extreme metal.
DIMMU BORGIR frontman Shagrath says: “I feel like we’ve outdone ourselves musically on this album. Along with the album’s announcement, the band revealed a music video for “Ulvgjeld & Blodsodel.” The song, sung in Norwegian, is a punishing epic rooted in themes of heritage and bloodline, the passing of something significant from one generation to the next.
