Lutes, flutes, violins, and most importantly a highly energetic show. This is what the German folk-rock band of seasoned musicians DARTAGNAN is preparing for you at the August rock-metal festival ROCK CASTLE 2026, which will take place in the pleasant castle park in MORAVSKÝ KRUMLOV!

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, DARTAGNAN will release their seventh album “Heroes x Anthems” on July 24th and will bring it to the ROCK CASTLE festival to be presented fresh! The title track “Helden x Hymnen” is out with a video and DARTAGNAN are sending it to you as the best teaser of what awaits you at Rock Castle this year!

Energetic guitars, strong folk elements and a catchy chorus that you will gladly sing along with the band make the song a real hit for the crowds – ideal for festival stages and a passionate fan base. Thematically, it celebrates the songs and artists that have shaped entire generations and the unique power of music to bring people together.
“Heroes x Anthems” is by no means a regular album, but consists mainly of newly recorded cover versions. Of course, the rock musketeers don’t just play obvious songs; instead, this clever sextet elegantly appropriates particularly refined song gems from throughout modern music history, without fear of their provenance. “Ten years is a long time, during which we always kept our foot on the pedal and released one album after another,” explains frontman Ben Metzner. “So for the anniversary, we wanted to do something a little different and tackle contemporary songs. We immortalized 11 anthems and musical heroes – from Avicii to Phil Collins – and translated them into our dArtagnan bombastic folk-rock sound.”

These guys certainly do not lack true respect for their artistic role models. On the contrary, each of their arrangements reveals a deep love for music and a passion for the legacy of the original, to which they pay tribute. With this new album DARTAGNAN continue in their tradition, as exciting cover versions have long been a staple of their discography.
