Singer Johannes Eckerström says about the new song: “Death and Glitz” is a song about perversion and detachment. A young fugitive collapses and dies on the dance floor. The crime scene tape turns into red velvet rope. The investigator’s camera flashes like paparazzi on a red carpet. We love her because she’s dying. She’s perfect now. Obedient. Whatever you want. The true crime genre is as sick as the worst goregrind band you’ve ever heard. Its popularity and the form in which it’s consumed, like a choice between Mickey Mouse and hospital dramas, reveal its darkness.”

Eckerström continues to talk about the upcoming album, saying: “It’s no secret that we always feel like we’re just getting started. Don’t Go In The Forest is an album full of things we’ve never done before. These are all songs and concepts that we’ve never even touched on before. The mind is wild and we’re lost in the darkest forests, filled with memories and fantasies. Forbidden thoughts that need to be spoken. It would be impossible to record this album at any other time than now. This is all we’ve ever wanted, and I think you’ll find that it’s all you’ve ever wanted.”
