The popular German hard-rock band KISSIN´ DYNAMITE will enter a completely new era next year! The singer and face of the band, Hannes Braun, is leaving his position as singer and next year he will come to say goodbye to all of you in the Czech Republic for the last time in July in VIZOVICE, on the main Ronnie James Dio Stage of the MASTERS OF ROCK 2026 festival! For the band itself, for Hannes and certainly for you, metalheads, this will be a very strong and emotional moment of the festival!
Hannes says of this decision: “KISSIN’ DYNAMITE is NOT BREAKING UP and I will remain a part of the band. However, a big change is coming to KD. I have been on the road practically since I was a child. I grew up with it and I owe a lot to it in my life. Together with my boys, I have experienced the craziest things that could easily fit into five lifetimes. And I haven’t even reached the halfway point of my life! Saying goodbye to the stage is, as you can imagine, a very carefully thought-out and important and necessary step for me.
In the band, we never do things halfway. We always go full throttle, literally, whether on stage or off. But I have to admit something important, something that I have been carrying with me for quite some time. It is this lifestyle that has taken a big toll on my health over the years. It is not the 90 minutes on stage, but the constant traveling, the lack of sleep, the pressure and stress of touring every day that consumes me. At some point in life you just have to do the “right” thing to protect yourself and your health.
In recent years, when it came to touring with the band, I’ve felt more and more like a drag. I wanted less, but it just doesn’t fit with our plan to go “up.” I love this band, it means so much more to me than just playing live. It means true and unconditional friendship. Unity. Support. Family. It may sound paradoxical to some, and those who cannot or do not want to understand me may ask: “Why is he disappointing his friends? But in fact it is exactly the opposite. I firmly believe that if I take this step, we can elevate the band to completely new spheres and let it develop its full potential. I am sure of it. Sometimes you have to give up something good to achieve something great!
So I am stepping down as a singer, but I will remain a songwriter, producer and, if you like, the captain of our ship. With full focus on these roles and with a new, motivated person at the microphone, I see a truly bright horizon ahead. KISSIN´DYNAMITE will continue, just not with my face in the middle!”
