It´s a month now, the rock and metal world was caught by a message that a big icon and a huge gentleman Ronnie James Dio died. We will never hear live anymore the major voice of bands Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Heaven and Hell and Dio. We were thinking, how to honor the memory of this extraordinary man. We spoke to Ronnie's wife, Wendy, if she´s agree with the idea, that the main stage of Masters of Rock will bear his name. We are pleased to announce, that Wendy answered us almost immediately. She wrote back, that she highly appreciates this and will be very happy if this happens. We are proud to announce that from this year, is the main stage of the festival Masters Of Rock called "Ronnie James Dio Stage".

From today you can read here regularly about very exclusive, unique concerts, you can expect this year on the Masters Of Rock festival. Let´s start with the festival headliner - the band MANOWAR.
MANOWAR - a tribute to the legend of Ronnie James Dio - Legendary Kings of Metal are back, after five years at Masters of Rock. It will be only one, exclusive show for the Central Europe - Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria, Hungary. A sensational all-star-project titled TWILIGHT OF THE GODS reinforces the thesis that true gods will never die. Five prominent heroes of the Northern metal-scene have joined together to pay endless tribute to the dignified Swedish cult-combo Bathory. Thanks for a great atmosphere you have made on Metalfest Open-Air Festival in Pilsen last weekend. This first year of this new metal tradition, we will easily remember. In a few years we will say, it was then, what we won the world´s ice-hockey championship in Germany and Hammerfall played…
Yes, also Hammerfall stood on the side of the Czech national ice-hockey team. As Joacim told the audience: "Today, you will kick the russian´s ass". And so it happened. Our decisive second goal came during the hit "Crimson Thunder" and now we can recall how electrifying atmosphere there was: here

And again, you can enjoy the biggest talents and the greatest rock-metal names of the Czech Republic. This time will play even more bands, than last year! Tickets (one day tickets and 3-days tickets) still available in Ticketportal , TicketPro, Ticket-Art , Eventim , Plzeňská Vstupenka . Tickets will be available also in the festival ticket office on the entrance gate to the festival area during all festival days.
